Coolpad Sky 3 to launch in India this week

The Coolpad Sky 3 is a decent selfie phone that has been available in Vietnam for a while now. A new report suggests that the device could be launched in India as well. It is said that Coolpad will launch the handset in the country on August 10, which is only two days away. The handset comes with an 8MP front facing camera, which has been tailored to take decent selfies. Barring the attractive front facing camera, the Sky 3 features a budget-ranged hardware underneath.

The device was released in Vietnam for 3,999,000 VND which is the Indian equivalent of Rs 12,000. So we expect the handset to be priced similarly when it reaches India later this week. But given the kind of hardware it has on board, a price tag of Rs 12,000 seems a bit too steep. But knowing the company's strategy for the country, we're sure the company has some different plans.

The company is hosting the launch event in New Delhi this Wednesday.
